Doosan Škoda Power

Studenti a pracovníci Ústavu energetiky navštívili v květnu společnost Doosan Škoda Power v Plzni. Během exkurze jsme měli jedinečnou možnost nahlédnout do výrobních hal, kde vznikají špičkové turbíny, i do experimentální haly, kde probíhá výzkum a vývoj. Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována problematice eroze turbínových lopatek, která je významným tématem jak z pohledu efektivity, tak životnosti zařízení. 

Celý program vyvrcholil společným workshopem, během něhož se diskutovalo o možnostech další spolupráce mezi naším ústavem a výzkumným týmem Doosan Škoda Power.

A protože Plzeň není jen průmyslovým městem, zakončili jsme naši cestu stylově – prohlídkou pivovaru Pilsner Urquell, kde jsme si připomněli, že technika a tradice jdou v Česku ruku v ruce.

Excursion of the Department of Power Engineering to Doosan Škoda Power in Pilsen

In May, students and staff from the Department of Power Engineering visited Doosan Škoda Power in Pilsen. During the excursion, we had the unique opportunity to see both the production halls—where state-of-the-art turbines are manufactured—and the experimental hall, where research and development take place. Special attention was given to the issue of turbine blade erosion, an important topic in terms of both efficiency and equipment longevity.

The program culminated in a joint workshop, where we discussed the potential for continued collaboration between our department and the Doosan Škoda Power research team.

And since Pilsen is not only a city of industry, we wrapped up our trip in true Czech fashion—with a tour of the Pilsner Urquell brewery, celebrating the perfect harmony of technology and tradition.
