13. ročník Summer School on Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management

Ve dnech 10. až 14. července se v italském městě Ispra konal 13. ročník Summer School on Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management organizovaný Joint Research Centre (JRC) od Evropské komise. Naše studentka Hana Skálová se zde společně s dalšími studenty z celého světa účastnila přednášek předních odborníků z různých oblastí týkající se právě demontáže zařízení v jaderných elektrárnách (legislativa, managment, radiační ochrana aj.). V programu byly i přednášky pracovníků, kteří přímo řídí demontáž jaderných elektráren probíhajících na Slovensku (Jaslovské Bohunice), v Litvě (Ignalina) a v Bulharsku (Kozloduy). Studenti také navštívili jadernou elektrárnu Caroso, kde probíhá postupné rozebírání zařízení primárního okruhu a dekontaminace odpadů prováděných firmou SOGIN. Další exkurze se konala ve výzkumném centru v Ispře, kde se nachází výzkumný reaktor ESSOR.

From July 10 to 14, our student Hana Skálová took part in the 13th Edition of the Summer School on Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management, organized by the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission, which took place in the Italian city of Ispra. Students from all over the world gathered here together with leading experts on the given topics. The program included lectures by experts from various fields that touched on nuclear waste management, measurement and radiation protection, legislation or direct dismantling of equipment in a nuclear power plant. There were also lectures with workers who manage the dismantling of nuclear power plants taking place in Slovakia (Jaslovské Bohunice), Lithuania (Ignalina) and Bulgaria (Kozloduy). The students visited the Caroso nuclear power plant, where the primary circuit equipment and waste decontamination are being gradually dismantled by the SOGIN company. Another excursion took place at the research center in Ispra, where the ESSOR research reactor is located.
